Where is a tankless water heater installed?
In most cases the water heater is installed in the basement, however a tankless water heater can be installed anywhere. Because of a freeze issue, a tankless water heater cannot be installed outside.

What is involved in the installation?
A tankless water heater must be installed with a larger gas line and must be vented with stainless steel vent pipe. In most cases the vent pipe will terminate on an exterior wall, not through the roof. The install and vent location will be determined at the time of your free consultation. The installation takes about 4 hours and your existing water heater will be hauled away.

What is the warranty?
Noritz tankless water heaters come standard with a 5 year warranty on parts and a 12 year non prorated warranty on the heat exchanger. Gurske Plumbing Inc offers a free 2 year extended labor warranty.

How long do tankless water heaters last?
18-20 years is the average lifespan. Every component of a Noritz tankless heater can be easily replaced. You will never need to replace the whole unit.

How much money does it save me?
With a Noritz tankless water heater, customers can see up to a 25% - 50% reduction in their energy cost for heating water.

Can I get an electric tankless water heater?
Noritz tankless water heaters are only natural gas and propane.

What do I do with my old tank?
If your old tank is leaking, Gurske Plumbing Inc will haul it away at no cost to you. If it is a functioning tank it can be donated to Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore Project or other similar organizations. Call Gurske Plumbing Inc for more information.

Does a tankless water heater need to draw air from the outside of my house?
Yes. Unless you have a large unfinished basement.
